
If you run low on ammo trying to land your shots, be sure to check the four corners of the room for urns that should drop a lot of random supplies!Īs soon as you’re able to stun and kick it to expose the head, back off and fire a rifle at its head - watching that it doesn’t raise its sword up to block your shots. It can still lunge forward in a curved slash or an overhead slam followed by a second one, but you should be able to dart around when you see the sword begin to swing. Now that you don’t have to worry about other attacks, you can race around the knight as it struggles to keep up, and try to line up a shot at its backside. Get off a rifle or magnum shot if you can while it’s still stunned from the Flash Grenade, then swap to your shotgun or TMP and rapidly strafe the Merciless Knight. Trying to expose both the smaller plaga heads can let you setup an opportunity to toss a Flash Grenade, eliminating them and leaving the Merciless Knight alone and stunned. If they get stunned, quickly run up and use your melee attack to become invulnerable to any slashing. Instead, dart around the sides and line up some quick shots at the shoulders of the other two Armadura.

Once you get close, all three will spring to life, and you’ll want to keep your distance from the gold Armadura, as he hits very hard, and annoyingly only has a weak spot on his back. The suits of armor that froze at the far end are still there and immobile, but the gold-plated suit has now moved into the room flanked by two lesser Armadura. Travel down the long stairs to the lift room and break some more urns before descending into the Mausoleum. Before exploring the main Library room, let’s take the detour to kill the Merciless Knight. The room beyond is thankfully devoid of Armadura, but there is an urn you can break on the table. Proceed into the next hall full of mounted heads, and look along the ground for a scurrying rat to kill that should complete one of the Merchant’s requests.


Heading into the small room before the hall to the Ballroom, there’s some Handgun Ammo in one corner, and a Merchant Request - Merciless Knight posted on the door leading back down to the Library.

Speaking of Ashley, be sure to check the door that she originally ran through when you got separated, as she’s dropped all the Treasures picked up when apart from Leon. It’s worth your time to re-explore some areas Ashley traversed on her own to get additional rewards. It’s located just past the Ballroom, so that should be your next stop… after just a bit of backtracking. When this chapter begins, Leon will get some intel on where Ashley is being taken to - the Throne Room.
